0565 - The Wild Island - An Adventure at Isle Royale National Park

On the first day of school, Simon finds himself overwhelmed by the chaos of his noisy classroom.  Longing for the peaceful summer days spent at his family's campsite, he drifts off to sleep, only to wake up in the enchanting wilderness of Isle Royale.

Tracy Phillippi is a Wisconsin Master Naturalist, picture book author and outreach librarian for the Great Lakes Region.  She and her middle childed have backpacked the western shores of Isle Royale for the last 3 summers where she fell in love with the calm wilderness, rugged coastline and might moose.     Out of her love for the island and wanting to share the experience with family and friends, "The Wild Island" was born.
