Bernardo Bracco came to the Copper Country in the 1880’s in search
of a new life for his growing family. With foresight, ambition and
working with fellow Italian immigrants from the Piedmont region Italy,
Bracco established a business enterprise that nourished and housed not
only the Italian immigrants of Red Jacket but the mining community
as a whole. His influence went beyond his businesses; Bernardo was
actively involved in the culture and community of Red Jacket at the
turn of the 20th century.
