IRKPA is pleased to reprint this cookbook for all those interested in cuisine and Copper Country culture and history. Edited by the Ladies Aid Society of the Laurium Methodist Episcopal Church, the book was published in 1902 as a fund-raising effort for the building of the church. Influenced by the Boston Cooking School, the recipes do provide exact measurements of ingredients, and the editors acknowledge that knowing the best way to cook is important. But the recipes assume that their readers know the basics of cooking and so the instructions are often minimal. Also like traditional cookbooks, it concludes with instructive "Household Hints". Paper cover, spiral bound. 100 pages.
